I’m sorry to report that several readers have found their books to be faulty, with some copies having pages missing and others duplicated. Accordingly, could I ask you to check the copy or copies you have, and let me know if this problem is more widespread than a handful of books?
The printer has offered to replace any faulty books, but that doesn’t include postage, so we’ll have to see the size of the issue before we work out how to fix it. The pagination in the faulty books we’ve found so far is as follows:
- pp 1 – 582,
- followed by pp 599 – 614,
- followed by pp 599 – 890.
This means that pages 583 – 598 are missing, so if you felt there was a gap in the story somewhere, this was probably it.
