educated in public schools in Kew. It\u2019s a narrative collage of materials drawn from different sources: it\u2019s part personal diary, part unfinished novel, part reflective commentary, part PhD thesis. It follows the story of Imogen, a young, intelligent, beautiful woman, adopted as a baby by a wealthy bohemian couple, then tragically orphaned in her middle teens.
